About RAES

RAES focuses on sustainable employment and the economic development of remote communities. It provides the opportunity to participate in community development activities, gain qualifications, and undertake foundational skills training including language, literacy, numeracy and driving lessons.

How we support RAES participants

We support job seekers to make a positive contribution to their community through employment by providing:

  • tailored, confidential case management services
  • specialised support to address vocational and non-vocational barriers including referral to available services
  • access to online systems including MyGov
  • access to community development activities like housing, repairs and maintenance, grounds maintenance and community cleanups
  • support to identify employment and prepare for job opportunities including training
  • post-placement support to help you stay in work.

Who is eligible for RAES?

Anyone receiving income support payments and looking for a job is eligible to receive RAES services.

Those not on income support can volunteer to participate in RAES.

Our RAES locations

We deliver RAES from our office across the Far West and Upper Darling regions of NSW: Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Goodooga, Menindee and Wilcannia
